Disney Epic Mickey 2 the Power of Two Ps3 Walkthrough

Welcome to my Guide for Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two. The game is a platforming adventure game with plenty of Disney shenanigans to enjoy and the kind of non-violent kid friendly gameplay you might expect. You will have to play through the entire game twice, for the sake of 1 trophy but the run to unlock it won't take long as you won't need to be drawn in by the backbone and principal pain that makes this game so hard: the side quests. It isn't that they are difficult or even tiresome it's that when combined with the absurd fact that you have one single save on which to play on which is fixed to auto-save, has no manual feature and the myriad of ways you can lock yourself out of a side quest can that overlooking 1 item will mean another playthrough. Also, nothing whatsoever carries over to a new playthrough.

You need to prepare for this game, know that if you want the Platinum then you are going to need a back up device and that you will not be 'playing' this game at all, rather you will simply be following a very careful and very definitive set of instructions. If everything goes off like it should then you will need no more than 2 playthroughs plus a little bit of post game farming for either cloth or scrap metal to round up the last of the collectibles but with the game ready to screw you over at literally every turn, I would say plan for another one and if you don't need it then it's a bonus.

Resources:

In order to assist you, I have written 2 Supplemental guides which you will find links to below and also a link to a Playlist where you will find a full playthrough for Perfectionist and Master Pin Collector.

Complete Unique Pin/Costume/Film Reel Locations Guide
Perfectionist - Side Quest Guide
Epic Mickey 2 'Perfectionist' Video Guide

Now you are armed and ready, you need to decide if you are going to play with a partner. A couple of trophies in this game require a second controller but you can play the entire thing with a buddy if you want to, the game is no harder or easier for doing so.

The only other thing to say is that for the walkthrough that follows you can do Step 1 and Step 2 in whatever order you want. You can go for the full one with side quests and all but a single trophy straight away but never actually 'play' the game and round the odd one up last or get the odd one first, without using a Guide and actually get some enjoyment out of it before embarking on the worst of it.

Step 1 - Perfectionist/Master Pin Collector Playthrough.

For this you are going to need the resources linked in the Intro and either a USB drive or access to the PS+ Save File Cloud to back up your saves. This is going to take a long time and you will need to study the material very carefully. On this run you will unlock the two most time consuming and difficult trophies and it is highly recommended the you pick of every other misc trophy, as well in order to focus only on the one trophy in your next playthrough. Look out for Blot Alley Superstar as this is a very awkward trophy so if you miss it, either reload your backed up save or you could go for it in the next playthrough. You will farm a heap of scrap and/or cloth to buy the last remaining Pins so there's a bit of grinding at the end but once this step is over, you will have all but achieved the Platinum.

Step 2 - Off Track Playthrough

This entire playthrough is devoted to a single trophy, Off Track. The reason you can't get it in the other playthrough is it would prevent you achieving the Perfectionist trophy and for this you actually have to go all the way through the game, past the final boss and around the Wasteland to make it pop. See that trophy for more info if needed.

Step 3 - Clean Up

Through prudent use of your USB drive or the PS+ Save File Cloud, you shouldn't need a Step 3 but because of the sheer brutality of the auto-save and/or in case you don't actually have a USB drive or access to the PS+ Save File Cloud then you may need to do another playthrough to pick up what you missed. I can not stress enough how much easier this will all be if you have either a USB Drive or PS+ so consider getting either one of them if you don't already have it.

[PST Would Like To Thank smartbomb for this Roadmap]

  • Earned all other trophies in the game

It's impossible to complete an Episode, much less the entire game, without collecting at least 1 unique Pin. This will unlock very early in the game but see the Master Pin Collector for more info.

  • Acquired a Collectible Pin for the first time

It's impossible to complete an Episode, much less the entire game, without collecting at least 1 unique Pin. This will unlock very early in the game but see the Master Pin Collector for more info.

  • Mickey revived Oswald while playing co-op

Connect a second controller and take over Oswald as Player 2, then use Mickey to hit him with a stream of thinner so he melts into a puddle. Now paint him to make him take his usual form then the trophy will pop. NOTE: For the Vita version, you will need a second Vita to get this trophy.

  • Found 88 Collectible Pins

See Master Pin Collector for more info.

  • Collected every Costume

Costumes are available for both Mickey and Oswald in this game and each are made up of 3 individual pieces which can either be bought at the Mad Hatter store in Mean Street South, or found in chests around Wasteland. You must have all 3 pieces, before you can wear a costume and you have to use the changing room in the Mad Hatter to equip any costumes you all the pieces for. Each costume gives the wearer a small perk and will take effect while the costume is equipped but then be removed if you take it off again so plan what you want from it in advance.

One thing I would recommend is to invest in the Construction Mickey Set as soon as possible. Although the Shoes can be found in a chest in Disney Gulch, you will need a ton of Scrap Metal to help out around Mean Street early in the game so I would buy them at the store instead. For the rest of the costumes you can either buy the sets from the Mad Hatter or just what items you can not find in the Wasteland. I would advise, considering they are all in areas you will pass through anyway, that you collect every chest item going and to buy the rest because this will save you grinding for cloth at the end of the game.

All chest locations for costume items can be found in the Collectable Guide Guide found here: LINK.

  • Changed costumes for the first time

See Dressed to Impress for more info.

  • Entered Angel Falls, exited Devil Falls

You can get this trophy on any of your playthroughs or even come back and get it once you finish the game. Whenever you want to unlock it though, you must first be stood on the platform in Angel Falls in front of the huge statue of the angel with the sword in front of her. You get here, either by going the projector route from Rainbow Caverns and platforming to the other side or returning from Disney Gulch through the projector having entered it via the D.E.C.

Whatever the circumstance, once you are in position, summon Oswald and throw him up in the air. Grab onto him and float down to the large platform below and to the right where the lava maze ends, there's usually a Blotworx enemy on it. Once here, spin the crank to make the mouth of the Devil Statue open and jump into the D.E.C to unlock the trophy.

  • Collected every 2D Film Reel

Film Reels are a collectible item found in the cartoon Projector levels used to transport you from one place to another in Wasteland. As there are always 2 routes through these projector cartoons you need to be on the correct path to obtain the reel, you can change which path you take by spin attacking the projector before entering it so Mickey's head is on the left or right (it never matters what side Oswald is on).

There are 16 projector portals and hence there are 16 reels to collect. Once you pick the last one up the trophy will pop straight away. It should also be noted that you can produce the reels to the owner of the Cinema in Mean Street North who will then allow you to access the projector related to that reel, in other words it will allow you to use Mean Street North as a portal to just about anywhere in Wasteland.

You will find the locations and how to reach the Film Reels, along with what side of the film you need to be on, by using the Collectable Guide found here: LINK.

  • This objective is tied to the side quest called 'Operation Gremlin Drop', see the Perfectionist Guide here: LINK for more info.

  • Reprogrammed a Beetleworx

Beetleworx are the mechanical Ostrich looking things but there aren't many of them to begin with but you will get the chance to get this trophy quite early on. In the underground room in OsTown after you drain the fountain and using the crank to descend, you will meet a gremlin who advises you to paint in the cogs on the wall to open a door and once you do so it will open and present a Beetleworx. Don't attack it but let it come towards you and once you see the speech bubble above Oswald to reprogram it, hit and he will use his device to make the Beetleworx friendly. If you mess up then you can wait until you find another one later in the game of quit out and retry but once you get it right, the trophy will pop.

  • Got through Ventureland's construction area

When you reach the Construction Area in Ventureland you can either pay Pete Pan 500 tickets to access the area behind him or use the nearby invisible ink well to douse yourself and sneak past (which is obviously the way you want to do it). Once past him, traverse the platforms up to the projector on the highest level and enter it to unlock the trophy.

  • Matched Seth's flowers to OsTown's statue

This trophy is tied in with the side quests called 'Finding the Hidden Heroes' and 'Goofy's Fountain Mishap' and what's more, it must be done with Oswald to ensure you don't lock yourself out of the trophy Heroes of Wasteland. Once you complete Goofy's Fountain Mishap, choose to use the head of Oswald, and turn in photo's of Oswald to Seth in Mean Street South for 'Finding the Hidden Heroes'. In Episode 3 you can speak to Seth and confirm he will use Oswald to change his garden, speak to him again and then head to OsTown and take a snap of the statue of Oswald. Head back to Seth and show him the pic, the trophy will unlock afterwards.

To ensure you complete both side quests properly and ensure you don't lock yourself out of a trophy, see the Perfectionist Guide here: LINK for more info.

  • Built both statues in OsTown

In order to restore the statue in the middle of OsTown you must complete the side quest called 'Goofy's Fountain Mishap'. When you resurface at the end of the quest and talk to Goofy he will ask if you want to use the head of Oswald or Mickey to complete the quest, you need to choose OSWALD. If you choose Mickey, then for some reason the store owner in the Gag Factory refuses to restore the Oswald head for some Scrap but will always make a Mickey head if it's done the other way around. There is no way around this so just make sure you do everything as stated. Once you have unlocked the trophy Heads Up using Oswald, come and pay the Gag Factory owner some Scrap Metal to restore Mickey to the fountain as well to complete the requirements and unlock the trophy.

To ensure you complete the side quest properly and ensure you don't lock yourself out of a trophy, see the Perfectionist Guide here: LINK for more info.

  • See the Thinderella trophy for more info.

  • After coming back to your home just after you obtain the brush in the magical plain, use thinner on the back wall with the TV to get back into Yen Sid's lab. From here, use thinner on the holding block behind the big object in the main room for it to crash down so you can ascend the room. Once at the top you enter a large room with a picture in the middle, you can use either paint or thinner to fill it in (use Paint to get a Unique Pin). Once done, jump through it to proceed and the trophy will pop.

  • Ignored Daisy AND Smee's suggestions

When you first arrive in Ventureland in Episode 3 you will notice that the lift that takes you up to the canopy by the lake of thinner is broken, meaning you are unable to proceed. You can complete a small quest for Smee and have him repair it or pay Tiki Sam 500 tickets to use his secret passage. For this trophy though we will do the trophy namesake and make our own way.

Get a boost off Oswald onto Daisy's roof and paint in the rock just by the water wheel. Jump up on it and then up again so you are where the thinner river starts. Select your TV sketch (You bought this in Bog Easy in Ep. 2) and create a TV on the left side of the funnel that is carrying the thinner, if you position it just right it will neither fall down into the river of thinner or tip the other way and get washed away. Once it is still, jump onto it and jump across to the canopy with the chest on it, this might take a few tries but keep at it. Once you make it, head along and paint in the tree to reveal a door, enter it and the trophy will unlock.

Here's a video of the above, courtesy of RmcBUDDY:

  • Collected 176 Collectible Pins

There are two kinds of Pins in the game i.e. generic and unique. This tally is for the unique Pins, general ones don't count and only serve as currency to buy the unique ones.

As you might have gathered, this is a major pain. It's so incredibly easy to miss a unique pin that even using a back up save doesn't protect against it as often you wont even know you missed it. Not all 176 pins are like this though, only about 1/3 of the Pins are found in the Wasteland and are therefore missable, the rest are bought at stores, most notably the Pin Trader in Mean Street North. They become available to buy as you progress in the story and there's also the Mystery Bag you can only buy for generic pins that all contain a unique pin. Note that you cannot find in the Wasteland, the Pins you buy in stores nor can you buy any of the pins you find in the Wasteland so it's one or the other.

You can find details on all 176 pins, where to find them, how much they cost and crucially where all of the story and quest related pins are and how to get the all without upsetting anything else, by using the Collectable Guide found here: LINK.

  • Revealed every knothole surprise

There are 6 hidden ghosts in Bog Easy and it's a simple case of thinning out their little hiding spots to reveal them. Here are the locations:

#1 - As you stand on the decking in the entrance to Bog Easy, thin out the brown part of the tree in the lake on thinner opposite the store.

#2 - As you pass through the shop to the next area you'll see a band on the jetty ahead, thin out the tree to the right of it.

#3/4/5 - All inside the gates to the cemetery, accessible after you go through the projector to Blot Alley and return again. Thin out the two trees either side of the big statue and there's one green bush in the corner.

#6 - The last one is in the same courtyard as those above but on the railings, thin the brown stone carving.

After you thin out all 6 of the knotholes, the trophy will pop.

  • Shuttered all four train stations

Thankfully this isn't troublesome or awkward to unlock, in fact the reward is for doing nothing at all.

The side quest 'The Wasteland Limited' is orientated towards repairing 4 train stations damaged in the quake the started this adventure, one in Mean Street South, one in Bog Easy, one in OsTown and one in Ventureland. For this trophy though, we aren't going to repair any of them whatsoever. Feel free to speak to the conductors who will ask for your help and act as quest givers but do not help them in any way, just move on with the story. Once the game is complete and you watch/skip the ending credits you will be returned to Mean Street South. From here, speak to all four conductors in each location who will bemoan your lack of help as the station finally gives way and spews lots of Scrap Metal everywhere. This will indicate the station is beyond repair and add one to the tally. Do this in all four locations and the trophy will pop.

  • Finished Dark Beauty Castle with two players

Dark Beauty Castle is the place you take up the action after leaving Yen Sid's Lab and marks the introduction of your pal Oswald. You can jump in with the second controller from here onwards but for the trophy it's not necessary. Proceed through the castle, picking up Oswalds remote and tag teaming your first Blotworx enemy in the courtyard will trigger a quick cutscene showing Ortensia giving Oswald a telling off regarding some fireworks. When things resume, this is your cue to activate the second controller so do that now if you haven't already. Now, drag the fireworks onto the train tracks with Mickey and have Player 2 make Oswald ignite the fuse with his remote attack. Once the debris has cleared, another cutscene will kick in and your trophy will pop.

  • This trophy is what makes the Platinum so complicated, because much can go wrong and the auto-save can't be disabled so you need to play a completely methodical and obsessive game to achieve this. There are 20 quests and are as follows:

    • A Captain's Life For Me
    • A Friend in Deed
    • Clothes Make the Splatter
    • Creative Threedom
    • Donald's Date
    • Finding the Hidden Heroes
    • Goofy's Fountain Mishap
    • Horace's Assistant Assistance
    • Much Ado About Blotlings
    • One Toon's Trash
    • Operation Gremlin Drop
    • Out of Toon
    • Rebuilding Autotopia
    • Thanks for the Memories
    • The Bunny Wranglers
    • The Encyclopedia Wastelandica
    • The Other Side of the Screen
    • The Spirit of Wasteland
    • The Wasteland Limited
    • Watch the Skies

For a full and comprehensive guide to all of these quests and how to complete them without messing up anything else, see the Perfectionist Guide here: LINK for more info.

  • Got all three of Metairie's pictures

This objective is tied to the side quest called 'A Friend in Deed' so refer to the Perfectionist Guide before doing anything else. Basically, you will be asked to take a picture for Metairie to mount on her wall. You have the choice to take a picture from one of three locations. Taking one picture and talking to her will complete the quest but will lock you out of this trophy. In order to unlock it, you must take all three pictures and do not talk to her in between. All will be explained in the linked Perfectionist Guide to ensure you get the side quest ticked off, as well as knocking out this trophy.

  • To befriend an enemy you simply need to use Paint instead of Thinner. Doing so will cause enemies to stop being hostile and will be shown to have blue mickey heads coming from them. If you paint all enemies you will unlock this without trying well before the final boss. It should be noted here that you can't paint Beetleworx enemies. Spatters are fair game and Blotworx must have their red buttons jumped on to expose their pilots which you can then paint and make friendly.

  • Restarted the Rainbow Falls Substation

There are two ways to complete this small story quest and each outcome will determine how you enter the next part of the story. If you 'fix' the substation you will open up a Projector which will take you through to Angel Falls. If you choose to 'destroy' it you will instead gain access to a D.E.C. which will take you through to Devil Falls. Since both routes contribute to a separate trophy (the D.E.C. contributes one to the tally for Tunnel Mouse and you can pick up a Film Reel in the projector to go towards Film Reel), you will need to take the opposite route in a reverse direction to make sure you register whatever it is you missed.

For the Projector, do the following:

    • Use your Watch Sketch to slow down time by the fan in the wall, once it's going slow, jump through and spin attack the valve to connect the Red Paint.
    • Use the lift at the back of the cavern and push the connection valve to the gushing pipe to connect the Green Paint.
    • At ground level, paint the cogs on the scales so you can push the pipe to connect with the Blue Paint.

For the D.E.C. do the following:

    • Drag the fireworks over to the fan and ignite them to bust the wall open and spin attack the valve to connect the Red Paint.
    • Use thinner on the rocks above the pipe spewing out Green Paint to have the surrounding rocks crumble onto the pipe.
    • Push the ground level pipe onto the pipe spraying out White Paint instead of the Blue.

As you can take the reverse path back here it doesn't impact on any other trophies or deny you a Unique Pin by destroying it, the only thing to say really is that for the projector route it has to be exact, all three actions as stated. If you do 2 actions but the 'destroy' way for the last part, it will give you the D.E.C.

Whatever you do, after you have taken care of the three pipes and activated the central control panel, the trophy will unlock.

  • See Prince Charming for more info.

  • Once you receive the camera from Adelle in Mean Street North, you can begin working on this trophy. There are 11 generic enemies in the game, this excludes bosses but you don't have to take their pics for this. Below is a list of enemies that meet the requirements and although you can run into them almost anywhere, I'll include a location for each just for reference:

    Blotlings

    • Dropwing
    • Slobber
    • Spatter
    • Spladoosh
    • Sweeper

    Beetleworx

    • Basher
    • Hopper
    • Spinner
    • Tanker

    Blotworx

    • Blocker
    • Rocker
    • Shocker

    Dropwing:
The flying enemies that spit thinner at you, you will run into them in the Underground between North and South Mean Street.

    Slobber:
The giant sleepy enemies that explode when killed with thinner, there's a couple of them in Fort Wasteland when you are making your way through to the Floatyard.

    Splatter:
The little guys, you first encountered them in Dark Beauty Castle way back in the beginning. Plenty of these in Disney Gulch, I took one of the little fella patrolling the saloon promenade.

    Spladoosh:
Big fierce guys that bash and vomit thinner, you can only hit them with paint or thinner when they try to suck you into their mouths, the watch sketch comes in very handy against these guys. You'll square off with one in Fort Wasteland after getting over the giant fence.

    Sweeper:
In Rainbow Cavern, after you ascend the second fountain on your way to the rainbow substation, two of these enemies patrol the thinner waterfall with the gold fountain at the top, watch out for them slinging buckets of thinner at you while you try to photograph them.

    Basher:
When you reach the floatyard and enter the area with the pirate ship there will be one of these guys patrolling the area below. If you take pictures of enemies in order for this trophy and don't miss anyone out, this should be the last one you find.

    Hopper:
In OsTown, take the crank shaft down a floor and repair the gears on the wall with Paint to open a door with a Hopper inside of it, take it's picture before letting Oswald reprogram it.

    Spinner:
Like ladybirds but with saw blades on their feet, when you enter Bog Easy for the first time there will be one on the decking area when you use the crocodiles backs to jump across to it.

    Tanker:
The mechanical enemies that have metal spider legs and a cannon that shoots thinner from one arm and paint from the other. You can find them in Angel Falls in Episode 2 where the Sweepers used to be.

    Blocker:
The only Blotworx enemy in the Underground between Mean Street North and South when you first pass through, metal guys that can form a yellow protective barrier around themselves.

    Rocker:
These are the cars that are up on one wheel like a unicycle that fire rockets and paint at you, you'll find your first one when you pull up in the train from Disney Gulch on the first platform in Episode 1.

    Shocker:
The big Blotworx enemy that can slam the ground and cause electric currents to run along the floor, find one in the Train Tunnels when you enter the second chamber with the train cart on the floor.

Once you snap the final enemy, the trophy will unlock. Also, make sure that the viewfinder Mickey Head in the centre of the picture is green before you take the photo.

  • Got all Adelle's photos from the official Picture Spots

When in Mean Street South, swing by the Museum and enter the exhibit area to find 12 statues. If you haven't ran into him already, the Spirit of the Wasteland will appear and explain that each statue has a virtue but was damaged in the quake. If you collect corresponding Unique Pins and revisit the statue they relate to, you will awaken the spirit within and be granted a small perk.

Because this trophy is simply a case of interacting with each statue when you have each Unique Pin that correlates to it, see the Collectable Guide found here: LINK for the locations of the required Pins.

  • Simple, just use Thinner instead of Paint on every enemy you encounter. Using thinner is generally seen as hostile and therefore doesn't endear you to some characters, especially Ghost Ian in Blot Alley who will deny you a Unique Pin if you dare to use it on the Spatters in the area. Since you need to do two playthroughs, save using thinner for when you do your 'speed run' to unlock the Off Track trophy so that way you don't have to worry about displeasing anybody. Alternatively you can just wait until you complete Perfectionist and Master Pin Collector then simply hit any enemy heavy area and thin them all until you get 100 on the kill count.

  • Played through every D.E.C.

A Dahl Engineering Corridor (D.E.C.) is a portal from one area to another, first introduced to you in Mean Street by Gremlin Jamface. They are distinct by being like playing a short platform mini game through a giant toy box and there are 5 in total but only a couple are story related. Here they are in order:

#1 - Story related. Early in the game you will meet Gremlin Jamface in Mean Street North. Give him some Scrap Metal to fix a windmill by the Cinema, enter the repaired door and the D.E.C. entrance is on the floor, it will exit in OsTown.

#2 - Story Related. Once you drain the thinner from the fountain in town, use the lift to get to the floor beneath. Have Oswald reprogram the panel on the door and the D.E.C entrance is in the floor, it will exit to the Rainbow Cavern.

#3 - If you destroy the substation in Rainbow Cavern, your only way of proceeding is through the D.E.C shown in the cutscene. If you repaired it, just proceed through the projector instead but when you emerge in Angel Falls, use Oswald to glide down off the platform and down to the left where the indelible ink well is. You can then go through it in reverse and it will count as complete, just use it again to get back to Angel Falls.

#4 - Back in Angel Falls again, there is another entrance to a D.E.C. on the opposite side of the area to the exit of #3. Go past the lava maze until you get to a platform with a Blotworx enemy on it, dispose of him then use the crankshaft to open the mouth of the Devil statue. Hop up inside of it to find this D.E.C. which will take you to Disney Gulch.

#5 - Depending on if you have been nice to all Spatter enemies and not upset Ghost Ian at any time, you will actually not be able to access the entrance to this one, a bit like #3 but you once again find the exit instead and go through it backwards. To do this, wait until you get to the area in The Floatyard with the pirate ship and the bongo's on the wall. To get to the D.E.C. exit, drop down over the side of the cliff to reach a ledge and hop down to the next one and you'll see the exit from the overhang.

    Notes:

1: You can't just enter one and back out, you have to go in one side and exit out the other for it to count.

2: Purely from a fluidity perspective, I would use projectors to get all the Film Reels on your big playthrough and get this one instead on your Off Track playthrough. Do it this way will save you jumping back and forth between lands so you don't miss anything but ultimately the choice is yours.

  • Navigated both halves of Mean Street

You emerge from the Dark Beauty Castle onto Mean Street South just after you set the fireworks off in the castle. To get to the other side of Mean Street you need to travel through the underground cavern with Oswald and through the other side. When you emerge, you will make your way up to Mean Street North so do some speaking and find some scrap metal by helping local shopkeepers repair their components and give the Scrap Metal to Gremlin Jamface by the windmill. He will repair it and give you access to the first D.E.C in the game so enter it and the trophy will unlock.

  • See the Spirit Garden trophy for more info.

  • Painted every star and comet in Yen Sid's Lab

This will likely be your very first trophy.

After you take control of Mickey for the very first time, enter the portal on your TV to be transported to Yin's Lab. Once here you will potter about and do a couple of menial tasks and platform up to a magic mirror which you interact with by pressing

In this new and magical plain you will grab the brush which will be the focal point of your game and the ground ahead of you will be transparent, requiring you to fill it in with color by pushing but as you ascend, look around you to see the outline of stars and comets. These are very easy to see and you only need to splash them with color to bring them to life. As soon as you color the last one the trophy will pop so do not proceed through the magic mirror at the top of this plain until it unlocks as you can not come back here.

Secret trophies

  • Befriended the Blotworx and helped Petetronic

If anything goes wrong when you attempt this trophy and you don't have the safeguard of a backed up save, then you will have to do another playthrough to get it

To unlock this one, you need to plan ahead. When you get to Blot Alley in Bog Easy, you will get a speech from Ghost Ian about the splatters that live there. He will not tolerate any hostility towards them and this trophy, as well as a Unique Pin, rests on you not only befriending each and every enemy in Blot Alley, but doing so before any of them reach a warning gong which are placed in each area. Before attempting this, you need not only the Watch Sketch but the Upgrade as well so it lasts longer but both can be obtained from the Emporium in Mean Street South. Now is the time to backup your save.

Proceed through Blot Alley, using your Watch Sketch to paint in the small groups of Splatters and retreating when it runs out and recharges. Do the same with the Spladooshes in the avenues and again in the last area and with the Splatters up on the balconies. Proceed to the end of the area and wait for Oswald to catch up before Ghost Ian appears. If he says you did a great job with the Spatters and gives you the 'Spatter Whisperer' Unique Pin, you can carry on and you can also overwrite your backed up save with a newer one to save completion of this part. If you didn't get the Unique Pi, then don't overwrite the save but instead, back out of the game (by pressing the button and exiting to the XMB) and try again until you do.

In this next area where Club 13 is, talk to Petetronic to hear his piece on why he's there and how he will help you. After this ends, you will be attacked by 2 Rockers and a Basher. Your aim is to make them all friendly by painting the Blotlings inside them after jumping on their eject buttons, doing so at a speed that means they do not have time to turn on one another because if one of them dies, even though they did it to themselves, then you lose out on the trophy. Once you make all 3 enemies friendly, one more Rocker will appear from the opening with the projector. You must be super quick to get to him, then break off the fender and jump the button to paint him before Oswald gets a chance to zap him and especially before the 'friendly' guys you painted before blow him up.

Do all of this and the trophy will unlock. If any of the Blotworx enemies die either by your hand, Oswalds remote or from friendly fire then you need to quit out and reload your backup save to have another try. You can, if you like, turn a second controller on and make Oswald stand there so you don't have to worry about him messing things up but half a screen isn't a lot to work with when trying to time all of this to make sure nothing dies.

  • Defeated the Blotworx Dragon

This is your first boss fight and concludes the first episode in the game. When you enter the projector that takes you to the Mad Doctor's Lab you will enter straight into a boss fight with a huge mechanical dragon. The battle is staged in 3 parts and each is very easy to deal with, the only thing to keep in mind is the slight repercussions of using either Paint or Thinner.

The dragon is a patchwork of thinned out parts and green areas or colour, hit those areas with whatever method you choose to make the pilot appear from the head area. Hit him with paint or thinner to engage the second part of the fight, which is the dragon and his new saw blade tail. Dodge it while repeating Step 1 and filling him in/thinning him out to make the pilot appear again, do the same as before and the dragon will make a path available to the area above. Once here, either thin out the supports in front of you to make the ceiling collapse on him or use paint to fill him in completely and spray the pilot one more time. The only difference in outcome is what Pin you receive but whatever one you didn't get will be available in the Pin Traders. Once the dragon is down, then the trophy will pop.

  • Scouted a path through Fort Wasteland

Fort Wasteland is an open expansive area with minimal enemies and nothing much in the way of puzzles. In the first part you travel up an axe handle into a new area where you use tree tops to ascend as high as possible before using Oswald to glide over the massive wooden fence to enter into a fight with some Spatter enemies. Depending on whether you use paint or thinner will determine whether Ghost Ian opens up a way to the Floatyard via a projector or you find your own way to the D.E.C but whatever route you take, the trophy will unlock once you exit the area.

  • Chased Prescott through the Floatyard

Prescott is the bad guy of Episode 2 and the you get this trophy once you have passed through the Floatyard by taking one of two paths:

Path 1: Using the invisible ink well and the platforms to advance to the top of the building without the eye panels spotting you in order to enter a projector or

Path 2: You can use fireworks by the side of the building to blow a hole in the wall which is blocked by thinner spray but if you thin out all the bushes in the courtyard then the invisible ink well turns to gold so jump in, then go back to the wall where you can now walk straight through to the projector.

Note that if you destroy the wall, you will block off the projector on the invisible ink path so be careful to make sure you don't lock yourself out of a Film Reel.

  • Solved OsTown's Thinner problem

When you arrive in OsTown after exiting the first D.E.C you will meet Autonomous Goofy and Gremlin Prescott, both offering solutions to the problem of the fountain in the middle of town spraying thinner everywhere. It doesn't matter who's method you use but once you complete this small challenge the well will dry up and the trophy will pop.

For the purposes of maintaining good relationships though and keeping count of your Unique Pins, go with Goofy's method.

  • Completed a race in Autotopia

This objective is tied to the side quest called 'Repairing Autotopia', see the Perfectionist Guide here: LINK for more details.

  • Got through Blot Alley by any means

This is achieved by getting from one side of Blot Alley to the other using either thinner or paint exclusively. Using thinner is a lot quicker and much less hassle but you will miss out on a side quest path and a Unique Pin so if you want to use thinner you have to do it on your Off Track playthrough.

If you use paint, the see the Blot Alley Superstar trophy for more info. Note that this is missable if you use Paint and thinner, just make sure you use only one type of attack or the trophy will not pop.

  • Dealt with all the Guardian Siphons

Once you reach Autotopia you will watch a cinematic to show you the Guardian Syphons in the middle of the area and two ways to free them, you can either thin out cars and place the engines on the air vents or stand on the pressure plates and have Oswald reprogram them. There are a total of 3 Guardian Syphons in Autotopia but the method is always the same, just clear out all enemies in each before dealing with the task at hand and the trophy will unlock when you free the last guardians.

  • Defeated Prescott's mechanical creation

Once you catch up with Prescott he will unveil his mechanical boss creation that will herald the end of Episode 2, it is just a huge face which either spits out fireballs or a thinner bomb or it sucks you in towards some spikes. To avoid the spikes just run away from them and just avoid the fireballs or spin attack them back. To defeat him you can either, thin the whole face then spin attack the fireballs back towards him three times or it you want to use paint then uncover the 6 panels on the floor by dropping Anvil's on them and having Oswald zap the monitors or paint in the cogs until the final one leads to his downfall.

  • Opened the way to Blot Alley

When you reach the Old Town in Bog Easy (the area where you catch a glimpse of Ghost Ian as you use the spinning ship to get across the thinner whirlpool), you need to deal with the Beetleworx reproducer by having Oswald reprogram the monitor by the door. This will make them friendly and they will smash the wall down revealing a projector or you will have to use fireworks to blow the wall up instead. Whatever way you proceed, the trophy will pop as soon as you enter the projector.

  • In the main area of Disney Gulch you need to put battery spheres into the capsule near the train to have them enter the carriages so you can move on, one will do but put all 3 in to receive a chest with a Unique Pin in it. Grab the train out of there there and in the next part with all the clutter on the floor and a Rocker enemy, thin out the wires that are acting as a guard rail, jump down and to the left, thin the wall and have Oswald use his remote. This will make the big green head statue's mouth open where you can use the projector and the trophy will unlock.

  • Dealt with all 3 dioramas

After you exit Blot Alley via the projector you will arrive in the Train Tunnels and have a conversation with the broken Conductor. After that you will need to negotiate three rooms known as dioramas which highlight past adventures from the original Epic Mickey. The three rooms have a very easy puzzle to fathom, all of which are clearly explained by Gus so won't be a problem.

Use the transporter pipes to advance to the rooms as you go along and once you solve the fireworks puzzle in the last room the exit door will open. Speak again with the now fixed Conductor and jump over to the projector to exit and your trophy will pop.

  • Defeated the Mad Doctor's new ride

This is the final story mode related trophy and is awarded for taking down the Mad Doctor in the final boss fight.

As an encounter it's pretty easy, the first stage of the battle is to simply dodge the mechanical claw attacks and wait for it to open, then paint or thinner the red light in the centre. Do this a few times and the next stage will begin after the claw drags you down a whirlpool of thinner, the final piece to this is just to keep hopping between the external platforms of the arena and spray thinner/paint at the masks at the top of the mechanical walker, once they are thinned out/painted completely, a cutscene will begin and your trophy will unlock.

  • Found a way through the Rainbow Caverns

Once you have completed Projector Corrector, navigated Angel/Devil falls and exited the area via the projector or D.E.C. to reach Disney Gulch then the trophy will unlock.
